To jerker: You said,"Everyone who is in touch with the REAL WORLD, will know that these 3 countries are known to be very poor", I just want to ask you that have you ever been to these countries??? If not, please open your eyes and watch the great development of these countries. And the latest ranking can be found in the following link (from International Monetary Fund): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_future_GDP_estimates_(nominal)

So this ranking is going by population? DUH. ;) Then it should be called as GDP (nominal) or by the powerful economies (based on their LARGE POPULATION)..Quite MISLEADING when they r presented that way-by the GDP. It should be written CLEARLY whether it's ranked by the nominal or PPP. Otherwise, it's very unfair to so many smaller countries in the world, who couldn't produce so many "humans" like China or India, who already took up "HALF" of the world's population). If you go by individual purchasing power, then ppl from China, India, Mexico or even Brazil are not able to afford as those from the developed countries. (These are the types of countries with high corruption rate, with the rich getting richer, and poor getting poorer). A good eg of a Small country with high GDP per capita(PPP) is countries like Singapore with only 4.4 million ppl, their individual purchasing power is incredibly high. And with every 75 persons walking on the street, one of them is likely to be a millionaire. (It has the most concentrated millionaires population living in that country-and this fact is based on PER CAPITA, not by the no. of population)

This ranking is correct, this is GDP total of the country. India, China and Mexico are poor countries but they have lots of population, so in total amount, they are richer than Luxembourg (which is the leader in GDP per capita)

Whoever did thIS stupid outdated ranking needs to be prosecuted or been living in the cave since 1960s. How can CHINA, INDIA, & MEXICO be one of the richest countries??? (I suspect this ranking is done by someone of these 3 countries, someone who never out of their country!). Everyone who is in touch with the REAL WORLD, will know that these 3 countries are known to be very poor, developing countries, and their GDP per capita is one of the LOWEST IN THE WORLD. There are so many sources on the internet that can support this WELL KNOWN FACT for the past 20,30 yrs!! Here's the more UPDATED one- http://www.fsmitha.com/world/zx-gdp.htm
